The Dressmaker Costume Exhibition opens in April, featuring 31 original costumes from the hit film worn by Kate Winslet, Liam Hemsworth, Sarah Snook, Hugo Weaving and the rest of the cast and created by award-winning designer Marion Boyce.
At the launch of the exhibition, Sue Maslin, producer of The Dressmaker, announces she will be donating the costumes to join the NFSA collection.
The exhibition celebrates the artistry of the film’s sumptuous designs, as well as the transformational power of fashion. It is on display at the NFSA in Canberra from 18 April to 18 August 2019 and attracts more than 16,000 visitors.
